Useful Tip

You may have heard of the term ‘CAN-bus’ used by your car dealer or perhaps talking to another car audio installation company. The term CAN-bus stands for ‘Controller Area Network’ developed by Bosch and Mercedes Benz. The technology is licensed throughout several car related industries and is favoured by most European car manufacturers.

Indentified by 2 thin twisted cables, these wires carry digital information throughout your vehicle performing critical tasks even when you are not in your car. Please do not attempt to interfere with these cables; cutting them or bridging off them could permanently damage the ECU control box. Leave it to the professionals we are trained in CAN-bus technologies.

Some Car manufacturers adopt the resistive system as apposed the CAN bus system, the r-ladder system relies on exact resistive values that are immune to 'noise' or single interference.
