Vintage/ Retro Stereo install in Jensen Interceptor

This is truly a rare car to work on and a privilege. The Jensen Interceptor is a true British icon of motoring. Our brief was to re-wire the front speakers and install the vintage stereo that our client supplied. It’s not an exact fit because the aperture is not a Din size. However after 2 hours work the aperture was made to measure. A new power iso plug was also added for safety. The overall result was fantastic and OEM looking. A great result for all concerned.

Becker Mexico install in Morgan Aeromax Limited edition

­This was a very special install for our VIP client. As you can see the Morgan Areomax is a rare car to see let alone to work on. Our client had provided us with the Becker Mexico and our brief was to install the Navigation stereo with all its parts. The skill in this install was carfully plan the install and to discreetly place the telephone mic and iPod integration cable in such a manner that it took nothing way from the vintage look of the dashboard. ­The Becker Mexico and the Morgan Aeromax is a match made in Heaven. A great result for our installation engineer and one very happy client.

Here is a great example of bringing this iconic vehicle into the 21st century. Our engineers installed the Parrot Mki 9100 car kit with iPod/iPhone charging and playing capabilities. The dash has been keep clutter free with the Mki 9100 screen installed in the ash tray!

The BMW steering wheel control is also active via the Unika modual allowing control of the hands free conversation and track selection.

Yes we know that the picture of the Steering wheel is not of the same car; we forgot to take the pic. You get the point we are making.

Steelmate Front and Rear sensors with on-board display

­­­fit­4caraudio engineers was called out to install the market leading Steelmate parking sensors, the PTS800V2.

This front and rear parking assist system consists of 8 sensors and a classy looking on-board display LCD screen. You can see how much preparation work is needed to professionally install this system. After 6 hours labour the install was complete. The finish result is a very discreet looking set of front and rear parking system, factory looking at half the price!­

BMW Mini 2011 plate with the new facelift

This is a great example of the kind of commitment needed to work on the modern day car. The BMW mini 2011 plate is one of the most challenging cars to work on and you can see why. The entire dashboard has to dismantled simply to get at the BMW quodlock. In this case we were installing the Parrot MKi 9100 iPod/iPhone car kit.
We forgot to take the post install pics; hopefully we can get them to you very soon.

Bury 9060 Music Car Kit with a Mute Matching cable- Peugeot 308CC 2011 plate

Brief: To install a Bury 9060Music car kit and have full ipod/iphone use with hands free communication.


Our Client had just recieved his new Peugeot 308CC 2011 plate. Unknown to him the car had an active speaker system run via a JBL amplifier. Our client was told that he could not install a hands free car kit let alone one that incorporated an iPod/iPhone charger and player!

fit4caraudio engineers came up with the correct solution. Vehicles that have on-board amplifiers often need “mute matching SOT” leads.These are complex and labour intensive to install. 3 hours later and the job was complete. Our client now has full ipod/iphone connectivity and safe Bluetooth hands free communication.

MKi 9200 Car Kit with Unika SWC for A-class Merc 2007

Our client wanted as full integration as possible whilst still retaining a factory look; most importantly they wanted integration of the steering wheel control.

We installed Parrots’ flagship Car kit the MKi 9200 with its dedicated Unika Steering Wheel Control Module.

The results were as you expect with Parrot products, stunning! Full integration of the car kit with voice activation and iPod/iPhone track selection and volume control.

All this for a fraction of the price a Mercedes garage would charge.

Here we are installing the Parrot Hands free car kit, MKi 9200 into a 2007 plate BMW Mini Cooper.

Our client wanted a robust hands free car kit and an iPod/iPhone integration kit. With the correct SOT lead and a careful install we achieved our clients expectations!

The iPod/USB/AUX cable was concealed in the glove compartment.

Dension Gateway 500 install for BMW 5 series with i-Drive

fit4caraudio engineers were called out to install a Gateway 500 ipod/iphone integration kit for a 2006 plate BMW 5-series with i-Drive.

A great vehicle to work on but not for the faint hearted! This is a two stage install; once the Gateway 500 kit was installed it then has to be programmed in to the MOST ring. This can be done by our friends Autologic, who have dealers everywhere in the country. Typical costs of programming vary from £65.00 to £150.00 (forget BMW @£230.00)

Once programmed the Gateway 500 is a fantastic addition to the audio system. Perfect integration and user interface via the i-Drive control knob.

Our client was extremely pleased describing our service as outstanding!

Classic Merc re-wire

This particular vehicle required a complete re-wire.

As you can see from the pics it wasn’t straight forward but it paid dividends in the final result.

Hands made rainbow vehicle specific co-axial speaker all-round and a fabulous vintage looking Pioneer stereo completes the job.

The sound quality was crisp, clear and accurate. What else would you expect from rainbow speakers!

Our client was very pleased with the installation and the final result.

This particular install involved installing both the Parrot MKi 9200 Car Kit and the Unika steering wheel control modual. Once the install was complete our client was able to utilise the phone button on his steering wheel and make voice active phone calls. Our client also has control of his digital music stored in his iPhone 4. The Screen was mounted on the right hand driver's side and the wirless control unit is usually kept in the cetre armrest hidden fron view.
